UF College of Veterinary Medicine Hiring Part-time Lab Technicians

The University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine is currently hiring multiple part-time lab technicians in their Clinical Pathology Department.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of routine biological and chemical test procedures on blood, urine and other bodily fluids and tissues from clinical and research animals. Procedures are performed in the hematology, chemistry, urinalysis and cytology laboratories.
• Performs and documents preventative maintenance and quality control on laboratory equipment at required intervals.
• Promotes understanding, cooperation and customer service with other UFVH departments.
• Assists in training of OPS, veterinary students, residents and faculty in clinical pathology.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of laboratories.
• Weekend and on-call hours required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manual cell count, basic hematology knowledge, some lab experience

Salary:

• Starting at $12.50 per hour
