Held annually in the winter months, the AFA Food Institute brings around 75 talented college men and women to the Chicago area to take part in a three-day program. Students are selected through a competitive application process and have expressed a specific interest in the food sector. The itinerary will provide interaction between students and food sector leaders; expose students to area processors, businesses and other related service providers and include discussion and training to enhance student preparation to enter careers in the agriculture and food industry.
This Institute is open to all undergraduate students pursuing agriculture-related degrees.
Students must apply by Nov. 29, 2018 at http://www.agfuture.org/s/1342/rd16/index3.aspx?sid=1342&gid=1&pgid=875.
*Students majoring in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UF that are selected to attend the AFA Institute are eligible to receive travel assistance from the College.
